Privacy Policy

This website is run by SmartUp – Social Innovation Lab, a non-profit organisation based in Skopje, North Macedonia. We are the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at info@innovationlab.mk.

• Contact form. Your name, email, organisation, area of interest and message. We use them to reply to you. They are stored in our content system and emailed to our team.
• Guide downloads. Your name, email, organisation and why you want the guide, so we know who uses our resources and can follow up about them.
• Newsletter. Your email address, sent to our email provider MailerLite to deliver updates on programmes, publications and opportunities. You can unsubscribe from any email.
• Security checks. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It processes technical data such as your IP address and browser signals. We also keep your IP address briefly in memory to limit repeated submissions.
• Basic site statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. It sets cookies, so it stays off until you choose Accept in the banner. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are set. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics data for ads or profiling.

Your choice is saved in your browser (local storage). To change it, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings at any time.

Some pages embed videos from YouTube or Vimeo. Those services may set their own cookies or collect data when you play a video. We use privacy-enhanced embeds where available. See their own policies for details.

We do not sell personal data. We use service providers to run the site: hosting, Cloudflare (security and statistics), SMTP2GO (email delivery), MailerLite (newsletter) and Google (analytics, only if you accept). Some of them process data outside North Macedonia and the EU under their own safeguards.

We keep contact and download enquiries for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete them. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@innovationlab.mk. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of North Macedonia, or to your local data protection authority.
