Specialist in Energy Policies and Energy Communities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support in finalizing research focused on electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Macedonia.
- Support in finalizing a business model tool for energy communities.
- Support in initiating and developing a civic initiative in this area, meaning support in developing the organisational and business model and aligning it with the relevant legal regulations.
- Support in preparing and delivering four (4) events, namely trainings, workshops, webinars, and consultations, focused on the development of energy communities, including addressing all necessary aspects (organisational and business model, legal regulations and obligations, community involvement).
Required skills and qualifications:
Subject-matter expertise
- Experience in conducting research, as well as developing and working on projects in the fields of sustainable mobility, electric vehicles, energy communities, and related topics.
- Facilitation skills to encourage collaboration, knowledge exchange, and active participation.
- Experience working with various stakeholders, including citizens, representatives of the public sector, private sector and civil sector, and regional/international partners.
- Understanding of the process of implementing civic initiatives
- Knowledge of approaches to community organizing in the fields of energy, mobility, and spatial interventions.
Digital literacy
- Familiarity with online collaboration platforms (e.g. Slack, Hivebrite, Zoom, MS Teams) and event management tools.
- Basic knowledge of social media and communication tools for promoting events and initiatives.
Logistical information related to the engagement:
- An Engagement Agreement will be concluded with SmartUp for the period from February 16 to May 22, 2026, with a total volume of 25-30 consultancy days, to be carried out according to the needs and defined responsibilities of the position.
- Regular daily logs of completed activities and tasks are expected.
- Due to the nature of the position, physical presence is not mandatory, and the work can be performed remotely.
