Program Development Consultant - Activity: EDUINO Laboratory EDUINO - The laboratory is a virtual lab that simulates independent and safe learning through play and experiments. Using science as a tool to discover natural processes in our world, the laboratory will provide children the opportunity to develop their interest in natural sciences in an inclusive and easily accessible way. It is also planned that the resources available will be used by educators to facilitate the formal educational process.
What will be the tasks and responsibilities?
- Identifying the target group for the programme and educational gaps as a basis for creating the EDUINO laboratory programme
- Setting goals and indicators for the programme
- Developing the EDUINO laboratory programme
- Supervising the work of the scientific activity development consultant and ensuring alignment with educational gaps and/or educational programmes
- Ensuring quality and feasibility of implementing laboratory experiments
- Creating instructions for EDUINO activities and experiments (methodology)
- Active communication with external collaborator (developer of EDUINO Laboratory) to ensure that programme aspects are properly designed
What are the required skills and qualifications?
- At least five (5) years of experience in developing educational programmes; with a focus on STEM education and climate change
- Advanced degree in education/sciences or related field
- Extensive knowledge of local educational programmes and challenges
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to write in a well-structured and analytical manner
- Proven experience in preparing educational programmes with scientific objectives and learning goals
- Demonstrated expertise in producing analysis and synthesis of documents relevant to programme development
- Ability to work independently, deliver timely outputs under pressure, and collaborate with other experts
- Ability to develop methodologies, guidelines, and frameworks for materials used in classrooms; for teachers and students
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent command of Macedonian and English, especially in writing well-structured and analytical documents
- Maintaining regular professional communication with all stakeholders
- Knowledge of Albanian language will be considered an advantage
Logistical information related to the work engagement:
- The engagement is contracted through a Service Agreement with SmartUp for a fixed period, specifically from May to August 2022,
- The engagement is based on delivered activities according to the agreement with the project team before the start of the engagement
- The position offers a total gross remuneration of 45,000 MKD.
- Working hours are organized according to the event schedule
