Consultant for Needs Assessment - Activity: EDUINO Laboratory EDUINO - The laboratory is a virtual lab that simulates independent and safe learning through play and experiments. Using science as a tool to discover natural processes in our world, the laboratory will provide children the opportunity to develop their interest in natural sciences in an inclusive and easily accessible way. It is also planned that the resources available will be used by educators to facilitate the formal educational process.
What will be the tasks and responsibilities?
- Conducting successful research through an independent proactive approach
- Conducting high-quality action-oriented research involving multiple stakeholders from government, business, civil society, and grassroots organisations
- Active and independent research to identify the needs of potential users (target groups)
- Conducting interviews, online sessions, and surveys to effectively gather insights
- Preparing communication materials to encourage participation in the needs assessment process
- Consulting with experts and/or consultants to gather their insights on needs
- Actively collaborating with the concept/programme development consultant to maintain the timeline
- Preparing a needs assessment document
- Preparing the final report
What are the required skills and qualifications?
- Minimum master’s degree in science and/or education-related topics
- At least 5 years of work experience in the field of science education
- Proven previous experience in conducting needs assessment research related to education, preparing reports, studies, etc.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Macedonian and English
- Proper document and report writing skills
- Maintaining regular professional communication with all stakeholders
- Previous proven experience working with UN agencies/donor agencies/international or national organisations will be considered an advantage
- Knowledge of Albanian language will be considered an advantage
Logistical information related to the work engagement:
- The engagement is concluded through a Contract for engagement with SmartUp for a fixed period, i.e., from May to July 2022,
- The engagement is based on delivered activities according to the contract with the project team before the engagement starts
- A total remuneration of 50,000 MKD gross is foreseen for the position.
- Working hours are organized according to the event schedule
- Physical presence is not mandatory due to the nature of the position.
